Aisle Whisper exists because wedding planning is more fun — and less stressful — when it's shared. Our comment sections and community spaces are here for brides, grooms, bridesmaids, planners, and anyone dreaming up their own celebration to swap ideas, ask questions, and cheer each other on. To keep that space welcoming for everyone, we ask all readers and commenters to follow the guidelines below. They apply to every comment, submission, and interaction on this site.
Weddings are personal, emotional, and often tied up with family, budget, and cultural expectations. What works for one couple may not work for another, and that's okay. We ask that you:
We do not allow content that harasses, threatens, bullies, or demeans another person or group. This includes but is not limited to comments based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, age, or body type. Slurs, personal attacks, doxxing, and targeted pile-ons will be removed immediately, and repeat offenders will be permanently blocked from commenting. This is a firm line, not a guideline open to interpretation.
We love hearing about vendors, small businesses, and Etsy finds that made someone's wedding day special — but our comment sections are not free advertising space. The following are not allowed:
If you run a wedding-related business and would like to work with us properly, we welcome that conversation through our Collaboration page instead of the comment box. For clarity on how sponsored content and affiliate links are handled elsewhere on the site, see our Disclosure and Affiliate Disclaimer pages.
Because wedding planning often involves contracts, deposits, and personal safety, we ask commenters to be thoughtful:
Every comment submitted to Aisle Whisper may be reviewed before or after it appears publicly. We reserve the right to edit for length or clarity, hide, or delete any comment that violates these guidelines, and to block accounts or IP addresses that repeatedly cause problems. Moderation decisions are made by our editorial team in line with the standards described in our Editorial Policy, which also explains how we handle corrections, sourcing, and factual accuracy across the site.
We try to be fair and consistent, but moderation is ultimately a judgment call, and we won't get it right one hundred percent of the time. If you believe a comment was removed unfairly, you're welcome to reach out and ask — we're happy to explain our reasoning.
If you see a comment that harasses someone, promotes a scam, shares private information, or otherwise breaks these guidelines, please don't engage with it directly. Instead:
You can also reach our team through the general Contact page for any other questions about participating in our community. We read every message and take reports seriously, even if we can't always respond immediately.
Aisle Whisper is built on the idea that planning a wedding shouldn't feel isolating or overwhelming. Real conversations — the honest, kind, occasionally messy kind — are part of what makes this community valuable. Learn more about the people behind the site on our About Us page. These guidelines aren't about limiting honest opinions or lively discussion; they're about making sure everyone who visits, comments, or shares their own wedding story feels safe doing so. We reserve the right to update this page as our community grows, and we appreciate everyone who helps keep this a genuinely supportive corner of the internet.
